200hp HPDI cuts out

2001 HPDI is cutting out. If you prime bulb, bulb will get firm and engine will start and run for 4-6 minutes then cut out. Re-prime, engine starts and runs for another 4-6 minutes. Engine will run fine and continueously above 1200 rpm all the way to 5000rpm. Above 5000rpm engine will sputter and die (re-prime she will start right up). Looked in fuel tank, fuel appears to be okay-no gunk, sediment or trash. Have not checked pick-up. Have replaced in line filter several times and just replaced bulb. Also, blew out overflow vent/line.

Any ideas or thoughts would be appreciated. Happy Thanksgiving!

did you replace the vst filter,allso check you lp fuel pumps

Have not replaced the VST filter yet. Can you tell me where it's located and do you know approx. cost? Also, plan to contact local mechanic to run a diagnostic. Thanks!
