This might be a dumb question, but I am wondering if a Carb Syncing Tool will work on most outboards (like a compression tester), or is the tool manufacturer specific?
probably would work, but most 2 stroke outboard carbs do not have ports to hook them up to and a 3 or 4 cylinder would be real interesting to get balanced with that one
Yam... How else would u suggest I sync three or four cylinder engines. Is there a better tool ? And I guess your right about trying to sync three carbs with only two ends. Or would it be that hard? Could I sync two, mark the placement on yard stick then simply move the tube to the unsynced carb and adjust to the mark?
Are you talking about 4 strokes or 2 strokes?
They sell manometers for syncing 4 strokes, but like I said where do you plan on hooking a 2 stroke up at? There are no vacuum ports to plug the manometers to.
