yamaha 30hp 2 stroke controls to tiller arm conversion

Hello guys i need your help. I'm going to buy an older RIB boat with a 30hp 2 stroke which doesn't have a tiller arm, just the controls. I want to convert this motor back to a tiller steer. My question is where would i find the tiller arm, and is this a difficult process? I plan on buying this boat soon. It's a very good deal however the motor never fired for the owner tonight, but he said he ran it this summer. He said he thinks it's old gas. Thanks,

Hi Ross,

I recently did this to a 2007 50 HP Yamaha. One of the moderator's here sent me the part list needed. I ordered it and received it very quickly. The instructions were straightforward and it was easy to accomplish. Good luck with your conversion.
