9.9 4 stroke Yahama bulb will not pump up no gas to engine

I have a 1985 9.9 4 stroke Yahama I just bought. It will not get gas to the engine. The bulb on the gas line will not get pumped up and hard. I spray gas in the carb and it will start. Help? Thanks?

Possible bad fuel hose, primer bulb or pickup in gas tank. Try a different tank and hose assy.

Sounds like the one way valves in the primer bulb are faulty. I suggest changing the primer bulb.
