compatablity between motors

I have a 1985 90hp (90ETLK) that needs work and have the opertunity to get a 1991 85hp ( C85TLRP) that needs a lower unit, would any of the parts from the 90 hp work on the 85hp, such as the lower unit and such???

Yes they do use basically same parts.
