2005 Yamaha 90 hp 2 Stroke trim indicator

I recently purchased a 2005 yamaha 90 hp 2 stroke. The digital tach works, but the trim indicator doesn't. The trim indicator shows down position. The trim sender is a 2 wire with 8 ohms down and 180 ohms up. The tach/oil sender 4 prong connector is not connected at the motor. The trim sender plugs into the 2 wire plug and then into the wiring harness. I would appreciate any help with this.

It would need the 6Y5-83653-10-00 trim/oil harness connected between engine and tach using the off white colored square connectors on engine and back of tach for the trim gauge and warning indicators in tach to work.
