Oil Seal

I had fishing line tear up the outside oil seal just before the brass bearing backside of the prop – in looking at the diagram I am not sure which way the seal should face – flat side to the prop or vice versa

Bill, not sure what you're running, but looking at the factory manual for my 2006 F150 I see two seals. Manual shows them installed with the lip facing out. Pack them with grease first.
