i have a 1999 241 walk around cuddy cabin proline with a 225 car'd mercury...max hp is 300hp...love the boat but the engine has got to go..its a real gas guzzler and its time to repower with a 4 stroke! since this boat came out before 4 strokes were around, my major concern was weight on the transom but now that yamaha has come out with a new and improved lighter f 250/f300 im thinking this would be perfect... anyone repowered with this new engine? feedback please

We have gotten very good responses on the ones we rigged with any of the new 4.2L models. Yamaha doesn't list any Proline boats with performance bulletins but you can look at there web site and maybe find a boat similiar to yours with new motors on it, Performance Bulletin Home
