  • pulser coil help

Hello, I was wanting to know if the pulser coil is suppose to move or is it to be stationary? It has a linkage rod connected to an arm that has screws that are set such as stops. My manual gives measurements of the linkage and the stop screws. There is a distance between the to stops, looks like it's suppose to travel between the two stops? My plastic end on my linkage that attaches to the pulser coil broke, and my motor won't reach top rpm's. After seeing the broken part I tried to move the ball joint on the pulser coil with my hand it won't move? Any help would be great!

You didn't say what model motor you have but some models have the pulsor mounted to the timer base which is moved by throttle linkage to advance the timing.
