Hello,
I am new to this forum.
I just purchased a new 2011 Seafox with twin 150HP on it.
They run GREAT ... except the port engine vibrates when going about 4 to 6 mph.
The starboard engine will hold rock steady at 1000 rpms during this but the port seems to be hunting it will go between 500 and 800 rpms when it is shaking.
I bought the boat at the beach and had to pull it home (350 miles) on Saturday so the mechanic there didn't have much time to study it. He checked it for codes and it didn't have any stored. He checked the fuel and it was clean, no water.
I will now have to take it about 30 miles away to a Yamaha dealer here to have them fix the vibration issue. I was just wondering if this has happened to anybody else and what was found.
I was really suprized when I found out how quiet these engines are ...especially at idle. I had to check my tachs to make sure they were actually running...*** these are nice engines.
Thanks for any input.
