  • Yam 704 Dual Binnacle handle button trimming only one engine - Need help!

Hi - I am rigging twin 200 HPDI's. The 704 dual binnacle trim/tilts both motors fine when using the individual buttons however only trim/tilts the port motor while using the button on the handle (its supposed to trim/tilt both) Any suggestions???

the thumb switch is good, check the wires coming from it to the 2 harnesses and lube if necessary

Hi JB123 - There are three sets of wires coming from the Binnacle "top" cover, two sets from the the individual trim/tilt switches and on from the thumb switch. The main harness coming out the bottom of the binnacle has three matching sets, they plug into one another just fine and are all marked (P, S and T). Still I get the thumb switch only lifting the P engine and not the S. maybe there is something going on deeper in the main harness?? It seems that the thumb switch should be plugging into both engines yet the 4-wire wire cable marked "T" is only made up of four wires just like the ones going to each individual switch. I'm probably missing something here.
