94 Yamaha VX225 Does Not Start

I have a 1994 Yamaha VX225 (carburated) outboard that refuses to start. There is no spark. I have tried to disconnect the emergency connector to the ECI and still no luck. Any suggestions would be appreciated. In the meantime I have ordered the "blink" test device.

Would need to test ignition components to find problem, could be charge coil, CDI, pulsor coils or wiring shorted or open circuit.
