  • 90hp 2 stroke oiler question

Hello, So I bought a new boat with a 93 90hp yamaha JTRR on it. I haven't dealt with an auto oiler system before and not sure mine is working proper. (the guy I bought it from told me he had it disconnected) So me being me I took the pump apart to see if I could get it to work right , all the parts seem to be there. Next I started the motor (with oil mixed in the fuel) and pulled the right side oil line off ( goes to top carb) to see what I had. The oil bubbled out bout every 2 sec or so. So my question; does this seem correct? If so, how does the oil go to the carb? (does the line fill up until it drips into the carb or does the carb vacume suck the little bubble of oil up each time?) And last, I can blow air threw the oil line of the bottom 2 carbs but for some reason not threw the top. Does this seem correct? Thank you, any help would be appreciated.

The oil pump injects oil through oil hose to cylinders, it is not a staedy flow it's more like a pulse. You would need the service manual to check pump output using steps and specs in manual.
The fittings in engine should allow oil to enter intake.

Thanks. Did a test today and I'm getting 1 mil of oil @ 1500 rpm, per each carb. Anyone know if this sounds correct. I'm ordering a manual for this motor but would like to get this situation figured out asap. Thank you
