F50 lower unit disasembly

Hello, I have a 1998 F50TLRW There is a noise in the lower unit.
I'd like to take it apart.
I have the prop off, the two bolts out, and a puller on the cap.
I have a good bit of pressure on it, and it hasn't moved.
My next step was to apply some heat with a heat gun.

I'm not sure how much pressure the cap can take.
I've worked on lots of other stuff that it was OK to torque the heck out of the puller to get things moving.
Any suggestions would be very helpful.

It's an aluminum housing so it will break, heat should work.
