  • Twin Yamaha f60 2009 interace to Lowrance HDS5

    Hi Guys ,

Have Purchased all the Lowrance interface cables x 2 and a starter kit to network and interace my twin F60 Yamahas to the Lowrance HDS5M just a few questions that will save me heaps of time and get it right first time .

    1. Besides drilling holes into the lower shroud and pulling the interaface cable through is there an alternative way of routing the interface cable so I don't need to do this ( don't like drilling holes if i don't need to )

    2. Which plug in the motor electrics is the correct plug to connect too ( Can i get it wrong is the plug the only one unique shape plug of its type on the engine ) a picture would help heaps here.

I figure i can configure the HDS5M if there a some pit falls some tips would be helpful

    Thanks
    Fred

Don't have to drill any holes, route wire harness through rigging grommet where rest of wires and cables enter cowling.
The Command link connector is the white(not the off white colored one) on engine that is capped with a water proof cap plugged into connector.

Hi Boat .net appreciate the help . there doesn't seem to be enough room to run the cable through the exiting grommet with the rest of the wires and throttle and gear shift cables unless I cut the connector off run it through and rejoin unless I am missing something ?

      Thanks fred

The rubber rigging grommet in engine cowling is split and it has a hole in it for that harness(may have to trim out rubber to open hole in grommet).
