VST Question

Question about the VST tank and high speed filter inside it.

The VST was serviced and filter replaced, and the boat ran only 30 minutes after that, then it sat for the next 10 months.

Recently, when draining the VST through that little hose at the bottom of it, I noticed some small particles of varnish/rust and of course the old fuel looked like crap.

Does the VST need another service? Or do you think flushing/draining with fresh gas through normal use will clean it up?

The filter will catch debris unless there is a lot of it, I would probably remove and clean it.
