Hello! I just purchased a new 2010 Yamaha 90 hp Four Stroke TLR and got a new speedometer and tachometer. Both gauges are for a 2010 two stroke. I took my boat for a new paint and decided to change the console and engine ...but the guy that painted the boat took a lot of time painting it so when he tried to purchase the 90 2 stroke in August...Yamaha was not selling them any more ...since I pre-paid for the engine...I got the new 4 stroke at the same cost of the 2 stroke.....not the problem:
the speedometer works fine but the tachometer (round one that measure trim, oil level and pressure, overheat..etc....) the tachometer is the one WITHOUT the MODE SWITCH so it has no buttons on it......so I just started to break in the engine and the oil pressure on the tachometer blinks as well as the top bar of the trim....also the bars on the trim don't go up and down.....
Can I use this gauge with the new four stroke? or should I get the one with the mode switch?
any ideas will be greatly appreciated!!
