  • yamaha digital tach install

I purchased a yamaha digital tach from boats.net, #6Y5-8350T-82-00, and the connectors listed on your website diagram, 9E450-04433, 9E450-04533, 6Y583553-80. What is not included is any information on how and where to connect on the motor. I also purchased the connectors that have no wires, just connectors.

I have a F115TJR 2010". I hate to take this to a dealer. I can install the tach, but the lack of connecting wires and where to connect them has me stumped

I purchased a yamaha digital tach with Yamaha part numbers, #6Y5-8350T-82-00. The connectors listed on your website diagram, 9E450-04433, 9E450-04533, 6Y583553-80, These are only 4-wire connectors (male/female) and a short male to female jumper wire. What is not included is any information on how and where to connect on the motor. The two four-wire connector on the tach and several single wires require connection to the motor somewhere. No instructions where included.

      I have a F115TJR 2010". 115 hp powerhead, tiller, jet (derated to 80 HP), 2010 year model.

I tried to copy the parts diagram but couldn't paste it.

Does many one have access to a wiring diagram for a F115? where do the tach and the other wires that are attached to the digital tach go?

The tach and harness's you bought are for 2004 and older motors, 6YR-W0035-E2-00 Multifunction Tach rig kit would have been best choice for your motor(2005 and newer). You can get 6Y5-85335-00-00 adapter harness and install at tach to make it work.
You need to find the off white colored square connector on engine that matches the 6Y5-83553-80-00 harness you have, but the harness will have two connectors on and the newer motors only have one connector so you will connect the matching engine to 6Y5 harness up and leave other connector disconnected.
