I have a brand new 4 stroke 115 Yamaha. Mechanic where I bought it says I shouldn't run it out of gas for the winter storage (something to do with ethanol in the gas corrodes the carburetors?). I'm accustomed to intentionally draining my [two stroke] outboards of gas to winterize them. Should I run it out of gas, or leave gas in the engine? Boat will be in storage for at least 6 months. Any other winterizing tips are appreciated, but especially the gasoline issue. Thanks!
