Yamaha T8 kicker dies

I have a 2007 Yamaha T8 on my Thunder Jet and am starting to have issues with it. It runs okay but then occasionally will die, then it wont run unless I keep the choke opened all the way up. It also has occasional problems starting and staying running unless I give it full choke, when trying to take the choke off it often dies. Any ideas?

Take the carb off and clean it well, it willl cure the problem. Many of us in the northwest (Puget Sound) have had and will continue to have this problem. Its not hard, just don't do it over the water, because you will surely drop some of the small parts in.
