Spark plugs part of 1st service

Does anyone know if changing spark plugs is normal for the first service on a new engine?

are you talking about the 10 or 100 hr service.you dont change them with the 10 hr,but i change them every year in the spring.most people say that is over kill.

I do the same. Store it over winter. Start up in spring. After the fogging oil burns off, I change them with new plugs. Don't know if it's overkill but I feel more comfortable with some freshies in there.
