Power Problem

I have a Yamaha 6hp 2 stroke (678)
She ticks over smoothly and at high revs without a problem
As soon as I put her in gear and accelerate she stalls after a few seconds.
Could this be a fuel pump problem?

That is usually from dirty carbs.
