Hello ,
I have just purchased a very clean "new to me" '96 Champion 18.6 w/Yamaha 150 V Pro bass boat. As yet I not yet received the manual for this model motor. But after some reading, I believe I have the original multifunction guages with the square connectors. Everything works except the Tilt. That display shows all bars and can't be adjusted no matter where the sensor arm is positioned. There are 3 wires coming out of the Tilt sensor: Pink, Black, and Orange. Ohming these out produces the following...
Between:
Pink-Orange 326-885 ohms at the motor, 362-918 ohms at the guage.
Pink-Black Open at the motor
Orange-Black Open at the motor
This doesn't seem right to me. Would this indicate a bad guage or sensor? Can anyone verify whether this is correct? It would be very much appreciated..
