A couple questions on a 90TLRA

I just bought a 2002 Triton 1860 with a 02 Yamaha 90TLRA on it and have a couple of questions. The tach doesn't work, what should I check? Also it doesnt have a trim gauge. Will it have the sender on the motor? Can I purchase one?

Check wiring and connections at tach, yes motor does have a trim sender on it to operate a trim gauge.
