2001 8 hp long shaft extension

I own a 2001 Yamaha 8 hp, model F8SHZ. I need to extend the shaft for proper usage on my boat. I've run across several aftermarket companies that sell extension kits, but none are making it for this model yet. Any help or suggestion on getting this done would be greatly appreciated.
