I have a Yam 90AETO 2-Stroke outboard. My boat came with a rev-counter (is that what you guys call a 'Tach'?) and a Speedo. The Speedo works but there isn't any wiring to or from the rev-counter. I would like to wire this up and get it working but I have no idea how to do it, so any advice would be much appreciated. Where is the rev-counter wired to? Somewhere in the engine I suspect, but where? I believe the engine revs to 5500rpm, is that correct? I also believe the rev-counter is set at 12-pole, is that correct?

Saw this on ebay look at the rear pic, it shows the wiring Yamaha marine boat outboard tacho rev counter on eBay (end time 29-Aug-10 21:24:49 BST)
