  • 150 Yamaha dirty fuel

I have had a problem with my 150 yamaha four stroke 2005 model. it has been running ruff and vibrating. It also losses power, instead of revving out to 5600 RPM it would drop to 4200 rpms or 3000 rpms.
To cut a very long story down to just a few word is that dirt !? or small rust flake seem to make it past 5 filters ?? Or maybe it coming from the VST tank. I am bewildered by this.
I have an inbuilt aluminum fuel tank .... which I have flush out twice.
I have changed the main boat filter twice and the main primary filter on the motor twice both are 10 micron fitters and water separators filters.
I have cleaned out the VST and filter once ( very dirty rusty charming stuff)
My four injectors have been serviced and found to blocked to 30%.
I have just pulled the injectors out again to have them serviced because it is running like crap again.
I have switched to a 20 lt tank to run a injector cleaner through the motor which has worked but when I reconnect to the main fuel tank it dies.
    Any suggestions please
    Regards
    Ian

you could have another look at the vst and clean the filter

    is the thermostat ok

Ali tanks and e10 do not go well together you end up with white goop forming in tank

    what tools do you have.
    eg a fuel pressure gauge

      Same problem.

Remove the fuel rail and clean it out as well. I found large rust particles.
Have not determined where they are from yet. I'm quessing the VST.
