Hello- My trim tab anode came off somewhere. I've located a replacement anode. It appears the only way to reattach the anode is to pull the lower unit off. There is the six bolts on the gear case sides and one under the trim tab, and the one that holds the trim tab. Is there anything else to do this job, besides undoing bolts, dropping gear case, reattaching anode, and reverse the order. Also would anyone know the bolt torgue specs. I don't have access to a repair manual, and would like to get on the water this weekend. Any help would be appreciated. THX

Should only have to remove rubber cap in housing just above trim tab, move bolt back into hole so can install new trim tab. -
It's an easy, 5 minute job, also clean bolt threads with wire brush and carb cleaner and apply Locktite to threads so you don't loose another one! Good Luck!Comment
