Can anyone tell me how to change the shift rod, what parts I need, just rod and powehead gasket? Also saw a thread on here abt. being able to replace the rod by removeing the intake instead of removing powerhead, but the motor need to be a vertical reed motor, is mine a vertical reed? Also looking for the rod, gasket? and shop manual, can't find them on this site, can someone steer me to them? Thanks,Louie

You would need powerhead gasket, the powerhead would need to be removed.

OK, so a powerhead gasket, the shift rod, which I can't find in schematics, a shop manual, and if I have to pull the lower unit , maybe do the impeler, if not , then the heck with it, as it's working fine, can you price them for me 2nd day delivery to 10573. Thanks, Louie PM me or e-mail mtnxtreme@optimum.net
Oh, and I double checked the motor, the model is L150TXRQ, don't know if the X makes a difference
