idle problem

1994 Pro 50 LF I am a newbie to boating and motoring. Starts beautifully and runs out just great but when moving from full throttle just before neutral it will stall and it will not idle for more than 10 seconds. But it starts right up. Cannot ***** at low RPM. What could be the cause?

Try this

If it has similaritites to my T9.9, there is a low speed and a high speed jet in the carb. Possibly the low
speed jet is blocked partially or alltogether. I have cleaned my jets by pushing a very fine wire through these jets to push out any blockage. Another choice is just a good carb cleaner like Sea Foam or Mercury
