2002 TLRA, no tach, is there a rev limiter?

Boat has no tach. Will this motor rev limit itself if propped improperly?

Outboards usually will self limit RPM above the normal running RPM with the ignition system, but it is best to prop the motor for the boat and load you a running that day. If you load it differently on some days it is best to change to a different prop for that load. You do not want to overload the motor with too large of a prop or over rev with too small.
