motor starts fine and revs well in neutral - but once in gear it will not rev and go - have any ideas - regards

I do not think so, I do not have one of those but I think that low tank oil level or motor over temp will cause the motor to go into the safe mode. I believe the timing is retarded to limit the RPM and that is easy to check with a timing light

I will put up with it till pulled out this fall unless a really nice day shows up with little to do Keep us informed if the cleaning helps
