Hello,
New 90tlr 2 stroke w/15 hours & multi-function tack.
When I took delivery of skiff tack adjustment was off...it was set for a 6 pole (RPM's seemed to have been double correct RPMs). After I flipped correct switch on back of tach RPMs seemed to be ok. Most I can get out of it is 4900rpm where 5500 is expected. Skiff is being trimmed out correctly per builder and they suggest I take custom prop in to have a little taken out of it which is no big deal. Prop guy asked me to make sure tach is correct before he does minor adjustment. Hole shot and top end are as expected for the skiff. Before I take prop in for adjustment is there anything else that can be causing the tach to be off approximately 500 RPMs? Thanks
