2000 200hp ox66, yamaha gauges, fuel gauge reads all the way over to full with key on & flat empty with key off. Worked last year.
Can use a few ideas where to start looking.

Assuming the gauge remains in the "full" position eventhough the tank is 3/4, 1/2 or less, you may have a fuel level sending switch (float arm) stuck in the "full" position inside the tank. Pull the tank access cover and check it.
