New kid on the block here
I've got a 30hp outboard, tripple, oil injected. Don't even know the year, but the tag says 30 MSSHQ, serial # 6J8 S 106571.
I have been having this problem were the motor will start missing when I hit full trottle? I have a spare upper unit from a outfitter, and have changed everything I can think of.
switched the complete carb ass'y, fuel pump, oil unit, changed one coil at a time, CDI box, stater coil, kill switch, new plugs only help for so long then I usually faul one?
The only thing that I can imagine is the carbs are dirty or need adjustments, as when I start the engine cold, it smokes pretty good - so its running rich correct?
What puzzles me, is if I disconnect any one spark plug boot from the back and run it on 2 cylinders, then it runs fine?
Guys keep in mind that this outboard sleeps outside year round, no garage.
Has anybody ever heard of this kind of problem?
