The Right Prop for my Pontoon!!!!

I have a 18ft Fish/Cruse Pontoon boat with a Yamaha 40hp 2stroke C40plr. I just purchased this boat last weekend and found it had spun a prop.Now I need to replace the prop! but I need some expert opinions on what size prop I need. The prop that's on the boat now is a 9 pitch I'm not sure if this is the right prop or if it is one someone just put on the boat as it is a used boat.I'm not sure I understand the diamater and pitch process. I have found that the pontoon boats takes a lower pich prop. I was thinking of a four blade 11inX12 prop for my set up. Any input would be appreciated. I don't have a tack on the boat so I'm not sure on the RPM'S.

They do not even show a 40 on the site and the 50s use a 12 1/4 X 9.
The 11X12 is too much for your motor in my opinion and will hurt your motor running it loaded up too hard

i have a 20 pontoon with a 60 hp
i have a new 14 x 11 -k that i tryed it was to small for my use if it will work for you i will take 95.00 for it
