i have a 1997 ox66 that will run great until you try to exceed 3600rpm then the motor cuts out you can bring it back to 3600 and it runs great,mechanic has been through the carbs,replaced fuel pumps,plugs,coils,plug ends he thinks it might be a power pak any thoughts thanks dave

I think finding a shop that will test things and replace only things that are bad would be a lot cheaper than just throwing parts at it. The inputs and outputs of the CDI can be tested at the problem RPM to see if there is a problem with it or other parts. If no problem is found with the spark then it is back to fuel. The pressure/vacuum of the fuel supply system can be monitored to see if there is a problem with restrictions or even sucking air
