  • Over Heating

I have twin 225 2002 four strokes with 800 hours. One of them over heated while running 3500 rpm. The impeller had 185 hours on it so I had it changed. Five miles from the marina it ran hot again and I noted a trickle of water coming from the water indicator. Back to the mechanic with no new findings. Moved boat to a Yamaha dealer with fresh mechanic. Used a Yamaha impeller, test drove, ok. I drove the boat and in 5 miles water indicator down to a trickle and ran hot again. At low rpm the water flow is good. At 3500 up, the water slowes. Although sometimes you can go as far as 10 miles before the water slowes to nothing. help
