9.9 hp mid 90s leaking gear oil

I have a mid nineties 9.9 horsepower that has been extremely reliable and cheap on fuel . After my last trip I noticed oil leaking from the lower part of the leg. on closer inspection it was gear oil. There does not seem to be any damage to the gears setup.
My main question is , how easy is it to fit a gasket and seal kit to the lower leg . Can anyone help please?

If it's a saltwater motor can be very difficult to get apart.

probably better off taking it to a dealer so they can install the seal and pressure test it.
