year model of 8 hp yamaha outboard

Hi all, i recently brought a 8 hp yamaha & i am trying to work out what the year model is, i can not find a model number anywhere, i have looked in normal position on engine bracket.does not look tampered with.
All i can find is a serial number on welsh plug on top of engine [ 1005210 ] can any one help

No that is not enough numbers to identify, if thats the serial number then should be a prefix in front of 1005210
