I am heading down to the coast to pick up a new to me fountain center console with a 1993 vx250 with less than 300 original hrs. I have been wanting a center console for my personal boat and found a decent deal on this one. The reason its a decent deal is the power trim unit needs rebuilding and I'm finding these units are hard to come by. I've been searching on the forum for several days and can't seem to find what if any other model yamahas will work to get the trim system off of. All of the 61A units I find are off of other 250s that have seen lots of years of salt and corrosion and demand a very high price with no guarantees. Any help you guys can give me would be much appreciated. I'd like to know what other motors I can get the trim unit off of that will fit my vx250.
