1985, 115 hp, precision oil injection

Hi, motor still runs good however remote oil tank is not sending oil to main tank on motor; I have been manually adding oil to main tank when red warning light goes on, however this is becoming a big hassle; I removed tank
and found pump to be in rusted conditon; blew lines out and still not working.
Instead of replacing remote tank now ( i will be repowering boat soon) I would like to disable warning system and just premix when I fill up. I understand that this a 50:1 ratio. Is there any performance reasom for why I should not be doing this ? will Racor filter/ seperator interfere with premix fuel ?

Premix will work with with fuel filters with no problems and it wont limit engine performance.
