2006 f225 running rough at idle

hey everybody. i currently have a 2006 f225 that will make intermittent growling noises at 500 rpms(*****ing). usually goes away above 800 rpms. checked the plugs today and they were white. no carbon at all. could there be an intake air leak that affects idle at low rpm? any help would be appreciated.

Air leak will affect the way it runs. White electrode on plugs indicates lean running condition.

thanks for the reply. could the air leak be resposible for the rough idle and the lean condition? if so, is there any place to start looking or do i need to take it to a mechanic ? Thanks again

Yes air leak could cause it, with the sychronizing meter or gauges it usually doesn't take long to find which manifold and which cylinders have the leak.
