fuel ratio 40 yam

i have just bought a 96 , triple carb 40 horse yamaha in great condition, motor tells me 100-1 ratio is the mix, is this correct? does living in the tropical north have any affect to this mix

2.56 ounces per gal, 16 oz to 6.25 gal or 32 oz per 12.5 gals

for 50 to 1 ratio that is
I dont believe your motor will last long at 100 to 1 ,probably run like a bat out of hell for a minute or 2 though

Some did list 100-1 but I am thinking that there may have been problems with letting the motor sit for any length of time with not enough oil on internal parts. Most run 50-1 as does my C40 1999

clear as bells it has a 100-1 logo on the fuel intake, i hav been running 75-1 as it didnt seem right . thanks for the responce ill go 50-1 now
