9.9 loses prime

I have a 1988 9.9 high thrust kicker I use for *****ing.It has started to lose its prime after 5 minutes of running.I have replaced the primer bulb and the hoses from the water seperator.The bulb is hooked up the right way with the arrow pointing to the engine.I installed a new fuel pump with the new water cooled one.The motor will run all day if I stand in the back and keep squeezing the bulb every few minutes.The bulb never really gets hard.I tried squeezing the bulb at home and I cant hear any air leak but it seems to be escaping.Any body have any suggestions

Either have a restriction or air leak in fuel hoses, water separator or pickup tube in gas tank.
