Hello all
This is my first post, I have been following the info contained on this forum, very very very good info!
My delima today, I was changing the oil in my out drive (Yamaha F9.9EL RA) 4 stroke 2002.
While using the oil hand pump, the suction tube was dislodged from the pump into my engine...
I have removed the six bolts from the port and stbd side, and removed various hoses & throttle and shift linkage and carb linkage, however the head is broken free from the gasket and therefore should lift from the lower half, but this is where I'm having problems, there seems to be something not disconnected... I use this engine only in fresh water, brackish at worst.
Therefore this is not an issue of the upper half bonding to the lower, I have rocked them loose.
The shift rod seems not be connected to the head am I incorrect?
Is there something I have missed to lift the head off?
Thank you
Mike
