  • 703 Control Box Wires

    Hi

I recently purchased a 703 control box (703-48205-17-10) and was wondering if anyone could tell me what the 4 extra wires are used for? There is the main harness with the 10 pin connector but I can't find anywhere in the manual that tells me what those 4 wires are for. Please see the attached picture. Any help would be much appreciated.

    Regards

    Glenn

I believe they go to the tach and trim gauge.

I'd have to check my boat to be positive, but I am pretty sure.

They are for connecting the gauge harness to power the gauges.

        Thanks

Thanks for that. I'm not installing any gauges so I will tuck them away somewhere after insulating them.

Hi, i am looking at purchasing this remote control as well. Will this one work for a 2001 yamaha 115hp TLRZ?

            Same question

Hi, I had the same question. So will these 4 wires hook up a Yamaha Tach or would additional wires need to be run? Which tach will these hook up to? Digital, Analog, both?

            Thanks,
            Chris

Is there a more specific definition of what these wires are? Meaning full-time +, switched +, ground, tach output, or whatever? Thanks.
