I have a 1999 C90TLRX. There are 4 bolts with spring AND lock washers that bolt in upside down around the outside of the lower casing assembly. One of those bolts has broken off - it appears the threaded portion is fully still inside. All other bolts seem intact and tight. and unit itself seems connected well. Is this an issue I should immediatley address or is it OK to wait until I work on the lower end this winter? How easily does this casing come apart to get to that broken bolt? Any advice is much appreciated. THANKS!

Same exact motor as mine. There are actually 5 bolts holding the lower unit on including the one hidden under the zinc trim tab. I'm confident that any 4 bolts will hold your lower unit on fine, at least until the end of the season, but then you need to have that broken bolt removed/replaced. I'd probably pay a Yamaha mechanic to do that since it requires some special tools and techniques. Good Luck!
