9.9 Two Stroke Regulator

Hello friends i need some information please..... i Have a Yamaha 9.9 two stroke and i t is the latest model of the 2 stroke. My friend told me that it has a regulator.... so i am planning to charge my battery from the motor.... what do i need to do this setup?

If it's an electric start model then it has a regulator and you just connect battery cables to battery.
If it's a manual start model would need to install a rectifier kit on engine, part number 6G1-81970-00-00.
