  • Yamaha F90TLRD Injectors fried

I shipped my injectors off to have them cleaned/fixed because they weren't firing. The company said all 4 are shot. I guess I'll be buying new ones but I'm trying to find out what might cause that. A local mechanic said that I may have had water intrusion. I drained the tank and found no water.

    Any Ideas?

depends on what they meant by" all 4 are shot" and what you mean by fried.

If the coils are burnt out then there was to much voltage or voltage was on them too long. They are meant to be pulsed and if you put a steady voltage / current on them you will burn out the coils in them

I sent all 4 injectors out to a service facility because, although the impedence test showed around 12.9 ohms each, none of the internal solenoids would react to 12V current. Their test confirmed what I had found, all 4 could not be serviced. I was told that it may have been caused by water or bad fuel. Just trying to confirm before buying 4 new ones and having it happen again.
